![]() This is akin to something like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater or other games where achievements are persistent, leaving only uncompleted tasks still open upon returning to a level. Fortunately, it’s possible to always delete photos to gain more back, or simply leave the level and return. The only limitation on a level is the number of photos available on your film reel. Players can opt to take pictures completely as they wish or take photos based on a list of requests. Players are plopped straight into a colorful world filled with a wide variety of dogs and tasked with taking photos of them. ![]() Starting up the game quickly reveals the basic gameplay and hook for the whole experience. There are an increasing number of games centering around photography, such as Umurangi Generation, but none are nearly as wholesome as what’s being brought to the table with Pupperazzi. If that name sounds familiar to you, then it might be because you played one of their previous games: Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor or Dad Quest. Instead, I’d suggest that people wait for it to appear in a bundle or on a discount, which shouldn’t be all that long if the steep price tag ends up slowing sales. What if you could play Pokemon Snap, but instead of taking photographs of Pokemon, you snapped shots of cute puppies? It’s an idea with massive appeal and developer Sundae Month did exactly this with Pupperazzi. If the game were cheaper, I could recommend it to anyone sold on its premise. The game itself is decent and I enjoyed taking photos of the dogs for a bit, but there’s just no way this game is worth that much money. This would be fine if Pupperazzi cost $5 USD or so - but it’s $20. Granted, people who are completely sold on the experience can easily double or maybe even triple that, although I’d imagine most would struggle to find enough to last them that long, outside of anyone who wants to complete the photo gallery or just spend hours taking photos after handing dogs items and the like. But you can see almost all of what Pupperazzi has to offer in about an hour. The maps are cute and as you play you’ll unlock times of day or overcast weather versions, some of which have their own associated objectives. But, again, there are only five: the lighthouse, a beach, a town, a national park, and the Moon. As you fulfill objectives and get more followers, you unlock new maps. Each post automatically grants you followers. Increasing your followers is predominantly done by uploading your photos to Dognet. Progression will occasionally require you to increase your follower count as well. Petting them will cause them to follow you, plus you can give them items or dress them up. You can also interact with the dogs themselves. You can also use different types of film, which changes the colors of your photos. Lenses include a basic one, a zoom lens, a fisheye lens, a pixel lens, and others. Bonks are used to purchase new items at vending machines or at the shop on the map. Once you’ve taken the photo, you can turn in the objective, which will reward you with bonks and followers. You’ll be taking photos of dogs, but it’s thankfully a bit more detailed than that.ĭifferent objectives will task you with taking photos of a certain number of dogs, or taking photos with specific camera filters or lenses. One of the game’s greatest strengths is the variety of these objectives. Here, the game’s loop presents itself: a set of three objectives are given to you at a time, and you’re supposed to fulfill their conditions. ![]() It’s extremely tiny, which is concerning when you consider that the game only has five maps total. At first, you only have access to a beach near a lighthouse, which basically functions as Pupperazzi‘s tutorial level. When the game begins, you select the first level from the overworld map. ![]() Due to the game’s price tag, it becomes tough to recommend the game, even if it does what is promises. The game is pleasing, colorful, and the dogs are cute, but it’s even slighter and features even less content than I would have imagined. While this isn’t a conceit that’s going to grab the interest of just anyone, people who love snapping pictures of pups are likely going to enjoy it here. You play as a walking camera, and your job is to fulfill simple requests by taking photos of dogs. The premise of Pupperazzi is simple, but engaging.

So what the hell am I talking about? I’m talking about the army of armchair vendors that all decided to cash in on Battle for Zendikar. These guys (and presumably some gals too) preordered BFZ by the case with the prospect of opening infinite moneys and realized once they had a $600-2000 hole in their savings account, they had to recoup some of that money IMMEDIATELY. These snakes had a big meal and they just can’t sit around waiting for it to digest to get the most out of Expeditions, so they’re firesaling these cards to recoup as much of their “investment” as they can. Some people just don’t have the nerve to ride it out. So what about the rest of the set? Are those cards tanking as well? Results In just one short week, Expeditions lands have shed 30% of their value, and in all likelihood this number is probably even lower by the time this article is published. Obviously the format is still in flux, but the first SCG Open is in the books and the initial posturing has begun. In what appears to be some kind of cosmic irony, Burn took down the tournament despite losing Lightning Strike and Stoke the Flames. What hot BFZ rares and mythics made the cut? A paltry two copies of Cinder Glade. Gideon, Ally of Zendikar showed up big this weekend with 24 copies in the top 16. Does this mean that I now think Gideon has a chance of retaining his $40 price tag? Not in the slightest. If you aren’t intending to use Gideon in the comings weeks, it’s probably a good idea to ship ’em. In other Planeswalker news, there were 0 main deck copies of Ob Nixilis or Kiora in the top 16 this weekend. Which either means these are not cards that anybody is excited about, or they’re all saving them for their super secret Pro Tour brews. The big story of the weekend is manabases. ![]() The bulk of the BFZ cards showing up among the top finishers are dual lands of some sort and this little gem. As it turns out, there only thing better than four copies of Siege Rhino is eight copies of Siege Rhino. Not only did we get a sweet five color Abzan toolbox deck courtesy of Gerry Thompson, we also get hot tech splashes: The exceptional mana available to deck builders in this format allowed some pretty sweet four and five color builds of traditional archetypes. Other cards that made modest appearances this weekend include: Jeskai splashing black for Crackling Doom and Kolghan’s Command? Sure, why not! Why not throw a Butcher of Malakir in the mix? Going forward, this opens the dance floor to basically any powerful card, regardless of whether or not it’s in the “right” colors. None of these seem like great investment targets. Hey guys, where’s the big spikes? I know we’re not to the Pro Tour yet so it might be too early to declare victory but there’s a distinct lack of $5 Rattleclaw Mystics, $10 Siege Rhinos, $25 Sarkhan Dragonspeakers, and $15 Wingmate Rocs. ![]() While it may be more meta related than rotation related, I’m significantly less worried about that guy printing out my terrible article and putting it on every table at the next Grand Prix so that everyone knows what a ****ing idiot I am. ![]() ![]() ![]() They stayed longer with the same students and developed close relationships with more students. Teachers in high-performing schools more frequently considered career goals when creating personal learning plans, shared the project outcomes with the community, and assessed non-academic outcomes. Generally, teachers in high-performing schools implemented PL more thoroughly and utilized technology for more functions than those in low-performing schools. Using national survey data of ELA teachers in identified learner-centered schools, this study compared high and low-performing learner-centered schools (determined by their standardized test results) in terms of their use of five PL features (personalized learning plan, competency-based student progress, criterion-referenced assessment, project- or problem-based learning, and multi-year mentoring) and their use of technology for the four functions of planning, learning, assessment, and recordkeeping. However, it is demanding to transform traditional practice into a personalized one under the pressure of the annual standardized testing while it is unclear which PL approaches are more likely to result in better academic outcomes than others. Today I’m going to talk a bit about how we created Duty for the game, and go into how it can be used by both players and GMs to enhance the game experience. They provide a structure around which players can grow their characters, and they give helpful guidance to GMs as they craft the ongoing campaign. Character Duties are one of the core defining mechanics that shape the narrative experience in Age of Rebellion. Motivations represents why that character has chosen to join the Rebels, while Duties represent how they are helping the cause. As members of the Rebel Alliance, characters in Age of Rebellion represent these two aspects of their personalities with Motivations and Duties. What is Duty? The Rebellion is a rag-tag group of freedom fighters, each of them there for their own reasons, and each of them contributing in their own unique way. Developer Andrew Fischer explores the concept and mechanics of Motivation and Duty in more detail in today’s designer diary. Each member of the Rebels has a different reason for joining the Alliance, and each will contribute to the cause in a different way. In Age of Rebellion, player characters join the Rebel Alliance, and wage a guerrilla war against the evil Galactic Empire. In February, we announced the Star Wars®: Age of Rebellion™ Core Rulebook. ![]() The boys’ relationship springs from their friendship. In the feature, there’s not sex, but sexuality is much more present.” “Because they grew up a little bit, I adapted the story to a more sexualized context,” Ribeiro say. The actors were also three years older, and even though they were still playing young adolescents, that changed the dynamic. “We wanted to do the short to prove we could do it and to show my vision of the film, especially because the first time I presented the story, 'It's the story of a blind teenager finding out he’s gay,’” he says.īut making the short also changed the feature, for myriad reasons, including feedback he received from festival audiences and the more than 3 million people who have watched it on YouTube. He also wanted to make the film through his own production company, which meant raising a million dollars for a feature debut. It’s not about sex, because people are afraid of sex, I think. And when it’s innocent, people see it from another perspective. When I first began, I didn’t know if it was going to work. I thought using that character, the blind character, would makes people think about it. Sexuality is such a big discussion, like where does it come from? It's very hard, this discussion. “The blind character was a good way of talking about homosexuality. Ribeiro simply wanted to write a movie that talked about gay themes, and he wanted to write one in which the feelings were so universal that it might even make the homophobic reassess their prejudice. “The Way He Looks” didn’t start with a blind character.
